Who is SAC-DZ?
The Swiss Algerian Community-DZ (SAC-DZ) is a non-profit, apolitical association. Based in Switzerland, it draws on both Algerian and Swiss cultures, creating a vibrant and dynamic community. Our association brings together people with deep roots in both cultures. We also welcome members for whom the beauty of this cultural mix is new. Thanks to the fusion of these two cultures, our community shares a wealth of common traditions, languages and perspectives. As well as cultural exchange, we are also a platform for networking and mutual support.
To strengthen our ties and increase sharing, we organise various events such as workshops and meetings. Each event is an opportunity to highlight the best of Switzerland and Algeria. Together, we celebrate our shared heritage and forge lasting friendships. Art exhibitions, language courses, gastronomy, etc. All these cultural elements are at the heart of the conviviality of our events.
At Swiss Algerian Community-DZ, diversity, inclusion and mutual support are among our fundamental values. We extend a warm welcome to all those who share our passion for Algeria, Switzerland and the synergy between the two worlds.
What are the objectives of the Swiss Algerian Community?
The main aim of our association is to help and support each other. To achieve this goal, we are working on a number of important objectives that are close to our hearts.
Developing and maintaining a network of Algerians in Switzerland
Switzerland is home to a large number of immigrants of Algerian origin. This shows how important it is to create a community around them for better integration. The main aim of our association is to create a lasting network of Algerians in Switzerland. This network includes executives of Algerian origin based in Switzerland.
Achieving this objective is essential if SAC-DZ is to succeed in fulfilling its mission. To join the network, all you have to do is go to our website and access the "join the association" section. You can join as a member or join our committee or the association's management.
Promoting members' professional development
Within our community, contributing to the development of each individual is a motto. With this in mind, we are taking steps to promote the professional development of our members. This is made possible by the development of our network. The bigger the network, the more opportunities there are to support our members. We do this by
- identifying and developing our members' skills ;
- using the professional network to facilitate their access to certain opportunities;
- professional development events and meetings
- intra-member training courses
- experience sharing;
- networking, etc.
As a not-for-profit association, all these activities are designed to help and support each other.
Promoting Algerian culture in Switzerland
Just like professional development, culture plays an important role in the development of every people. Algerians are no exception to this rule, and our actions are also aimed at promoting Algerian culture in Switzerland. This enhancement not only allows our members to find themselves in a family cocoon. It also aims to bring out the best in Algerian culture in Switzerland.
Showcasing Algerian culture includes the arts, cuisine, language and much more. To achieve this objective, we organise events that highlight these cultural components. These events are also an opportunity to celebrate the cultural marriage that exists between the two countries.
Promoting community and educational services for Algerians in Switzerland
Community and educational services are an integral part of any society. They help to optimise living conditions through collective solutions.
The aim of educational services is to facilitate access to education. They include, for example, tutoring services, psychological and educational support, etc. Our association works to ensure that these various services are as easily accessible as possible to Algerians living in Switzerland.
Providing consultants in the areas of expertise available within the Association
As our community is made up of executives, we haveexperts in various fields: medicine, taxation, engineering, entrepreneurship, etc. Through this association, we aim to develop our address book even further. The aim is to be able to facilitate mutual assistance between members in as many areas of expertise as possible. Providing consultants in areas of expertise means that members can :
- easier access to valuable information ;
- have the tools they need to solve a variety of problems;
- save time and money through the mutual sharing of knowledge and experience.
These benefits will be useful in both members' professional and personal lives.
Providing assistance to Algerians who have recently settled in Switzerland
For an Algerian recently settled in Switzerland, it can be difficult to get the right bearings. It takes time to integrate and really understand how the country works. This applies to social, professional, personal, cultural and other aspects. It's all the more complex when you don't have any relatives already settled here.
Through our association, we aim to facilitate the integration of every new Algerian immigrant in Switzerland. We create a warm and welcoming environment to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible. This includes professional development, cultural events, community and educational services, as well as access to data in areas of expertise.
Creating a communication bridge between the Algerian and Swiss authorities
Switzerland and Algeria share good relations. This is evident in a number of areas, including migration, culture, sustainable development, technology and the economy. Through the existence and actions of our association, we aim to strengthen communication between the authorities in the two countries. The better the communication between the authorities, the better the integration and development of Algerians in Switzerland.
Providing legal assistance, within our means, to Algerians wishing to regularise their situation in Switzerland
In Switzerland, Algerians rank third among the nationalities present illegally. Moreover, undocumented Algerians are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain protection, including provisional admission status. Many of them therefore choose to flee Switzerland to avoid deportation.
Our association aims to help as many undocumented migrants as possible to regularise their situation. To do this, we work to provide legal assistance to the best of our ability. Having members in the legal field is therefore one of the ways in which we can easily achieve this objective.
Collecting donations for the underprivileged
At SAC-DZ, we also help the most disadvantaged. To this end, we have a 'contributions' section where we welcome donations from people of goodwill. To make a contribution, all you have to do is visit our website and go to the dedicated section.
