Dear members of the SAC Association,
We are pleased to invite you to take part in a commemorative event to mark the 70th anniversary of 1 November 1954, a significant date in our history.
This ceremony is being organised in collaboration with the Dzaïr association and will be held on Friday 1 November 2024, starting at 6.30pm, at theEPFL. It will be a time to reflect on the importance of this date in the struggle for independence and freedom, and to pay tribute to those who contributed to these ideals.
The programme will include:
- 6.30pm: Opening of the room
- 6.45pm: Introduction and presentation of the various stakeholders
- 7.05pm: Welcome speech
- 7.15pm: Screening of the documentary short film
"En guerre pour l'Algérie | Crépuscule colonial" ~ Arte - 8.10pm: Testimonies
- 8.30pm: History of the Algerian War quiz
- 8.50pm: Cocktail reception - discussions between members
We very much hope that you will be able to attend this solemn event, which reminds us of the importance of unity and collective memory.
Registration and participation
For better organisation, please confirm your attendance on our website before 31 October 2024.
Participation in the event is free for all members of the association.
We are appealing to your generosity to contribute financially, either in cash or via Twint, according to your means. Your support will enable us to organise other long-awaited events.
